Key Role in Shaping Australia's Energy Future

As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will play a pivotal role in driving the development of innovative solar, storage & hybrid energy solutions. You will advise on complex legal and regulatory issues in the electricity and renewables sector, collaborating closely with senior executives to gain exposure across all facets of the business.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Partner with senior leadership and the wider team to navigate intricate legal and regulatory challenges in the renewable energy space.
  • Provide expert advice on energy law, including compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks and national legislation.
  • Draft and negotiate key commercial agreements, such as EPC, O&M, PPA, and project financing contracts.
  • Support project development, acquisitions, and joint ventures across solar, battery, and hybrid energy projects.
Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • At least 7 years PQE with expertise in electricity, energy projects, and renewables.
  • Experience working in private practice or a similar environment.
  • Proven ability to draft and negotiate complex project, infrastructure, or energy contracts.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the capacity to balance legal risk and business objectives.
  • Confidence in working independently while collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders.
