We're looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at one of our premier properties in Newcastle, Australia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform painting projects and light drywall repairs to maintain the overall appearance and condition of our properties.
  • Contribute to property upkeep by replacing toilets, wax rings, surrounds, and shower trim/cartridges, ensuring all fixtures are in good working order.
  • Diagnose and report water heater issues promptly, minimizing downtime and maintaining resident comfort.
  • Replace outlets, switches, light fixtures, and ballasts as needed, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Monitor common area boilers to ensure efficient operation and prevent potential issues.
  • Diagnose furnace and air handler issues within a non-licensed scope, providing accurate information for further assistance.
  • Utilize digital platforms to manage work orders and communicate effectively with vendors.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and collaborate with third-party contractors to address maintenance needs.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in maintenance or a related field.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on finding solutions rather than just identifying problems.
  • The ability to work independently while contributing to team success, demonstrating a collaborative mindset.
  • A proactive approach to addressing challenges, viewing them as opportunities to improve processes and services.
