Land and Property Coordinator

About the Role

The Land and Property Coordinator will play a pivotal role in building an operation that is safer, more productive, and sustainable.

This position involves coordinating heritage-related issues, managing land management activities, and overseeing offsite properties.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate heritage-related issues and manage land management activities.
  • Manage rehabilitation activities and coordinate environmental contractors for land management tasks.
  • Engage with Aboriginal communities and develop cultural awareness activities.
  • Inspect and report areas affected by spontaneous combustion and coordinate remedial measures.
  • Meet regularly with lessees regarding rural properties and maintenance of offsite properties.
  • Analyze environmental data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Provide technical advice on environmental matters to support safe, productive, and cost-effective mining operations.
  • Contribute to the site's environmental strategy and liaise with local landholders, community members, and government officials.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Applied Science, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in the mining industry.
  • A thorough understanding of NSW environmental legislation.
  • Experience in mine rehabilitation, biodiversity offsets, and land management activities.
  • Prior experience in property management.
  • Proficiency in project and contractor management.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
