Occupational Health and Safety Advisor Role

We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our dynamic team on a high-profile Education Project based on the Gold Coast and working across other projects in the region.

This is your opportunity to contribute to shaping educational spaces that inspire, working with a leading industry professional and a forward-thinking national business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Governance: Review documents and plans that govern project delivery, providing input into HSE and quality plans and ensuring these are in line with project, business, and legislative requirements.
  • Resource Allocation: Coordinate with the Project Manager and Site Manager to ensure the project is adequately resourced with personnel of appropriate competency to deliver the project HSE and quality plans.
  • Communication and Support: Assist in communicating the requirements of the project plans to the wider project team, proactively providing support in implementing the plans.
  • HSE Inspections and Assessments: Undertake HSE and quality inspections and assessments, reporting, documenting, and identifying actions as necessary, and ensuring they are implemented.
About You
  • Qualifications: Cert IV WHS – Minimum
  • Software Experience: Management system software experience e.g. Hammertech (preferred)
  • Professional Background: Proven experience as an HSE Advisor or similar role within the commercial construction space
  • Knowledge and Skills: In-depth knowledge of HSE legislation, standards, and best practices
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage employees at all levels
  • Problem-Solving and Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving
