Senior Occupational Hygiene Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our occupational hygiene services. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our business, develop strong client relationships, lead diverse projects, and help guide junior staff while developing your leadership and technical capabilities.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor-level tertiary qualification in science, engineering, health and safety, or occupational hygiene, and 3+ years' of occupational hygiene industry experience, preferably in a consulting environment. You will also possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to maintain quality records, reports, and compliance documentation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage client relationships
  • Conduct occupational hygiene assessments and undertake sampling, monitoring, analytical analysis, and reporting activities
  • Produce technical reports detailing investigations, risk assessments, and solutions for clients
  • Perform lab analysis (fibre counting) at our laboratory and produce reports, to NATA specification
  • Collaborate with clients to identify, evaluate, and control occupational health hazards and improve workplace health and safety

Requirements:

  • Bachelor-level tertiary qualification in science, engineering, health and safety, or occupational hygiene
  • 3+ years' of occupational hygiene industry experience, preferably in a consulting environment
  • Current Driver Licence (without restriction) and ability to drive manual vehicle
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Maintain quality records, reports, and compliance documentation
  • Work effectively in a team environment and follow standard policies and procedures with minimal supervision
  • Highly Desirable Skills: Construction Induction Training (White Card), Experience in fibre-counting analysis and reporting, to NATA standards, Eligibility for provisional or full membership with the Australian Institute of Occupational Hygiene (AIOH)
