National Occupational Health and Safety Director

Foster a safe, healthy work environment across all locations as our National Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Director. Develop, implement and manage comprehensive health and safety programs while ensuring compliance with regulations.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in creating safety policies and procedures to mitigate risks and drive continuous improvement. They will also possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills to conduct regular safety audits and inspections.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct regular safety assessments and develop strategies to improve workplace safety.
- Collaborate with teams to identify and address safety concerns.
- Develop and maintain industry-standard OHS programs and protocols.
- Provide expert guidance on regulatory compliance to management.
- Cultivate a positive safety culture through education and training.
- Manage incident investigations and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in OHS, engineering or a related field (preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in a medium to large commercial environment, with at least 4 years in an OHS management role.
- Certifications: Current certifications in First Aid, CPR and as a Return-to-Work Coordinator.
- Strong risk assessment and management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage various projects effectively.
