Job OverviewWe are currently seeking an experienced Principal or Senior Ecologist to join our Canberra team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on diverse projects, develop your skills, and contribute to the growth and success of our organisation.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Leveraging their extensive experience in ecological research and project management to drive successful outcomes;
- Providing expert advice to clients on environmental matters;
- Cultivating client relationships and identifying new business opportunities;
- Contributing to the development and implementation of our growth strategy for the ecology workstream in ACT;
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A minimum of 10+ years of experience as a Principal Ecologist and 5+ years as a Senior Ecologist;
- Degree qualification in ecology, environmental science, zoology, botany, or a related discipline;
- BAM accredited assessor or extensive experience in BAM and/or other biometric data capture and analysis (or capacity to achieve BAM accreditation);
- Proven track record of leading ecological assessments, habitat surveys, and impact analyses;
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation, regulations, and environmental policies;
- Excellent communication skills, including experience in preparing and reviewing reports;
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, including project management and team coordination;
- Current Australian drivers license.
