Landscaping Crew Member Job Description

A vital position in our Landscaping Team at McLean Farms.

We are a family-owned agri-business based in Pittsworth, Queensland. Our diversified business includes livestock and food production with a broad range of agricultural enterprises such as grain, compost, and feed mill operations.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Maintain all grassed areas through regular mowing and upkeep.
  • Conduct precise spraying to control unwanted vegetation growth.
  • Plant and maintain existing garden beds and trees to ensure optimal aesthetic appeal.
  • Install and maintain irrigation systems to promote healthy plant growth.
  • Perform equipment and vehicle maintenance to ensure efficient operations.
  • Operate machinery where licensed and qualified.
  • Assist with pest control and livestock movement when necessary.
Requirements:
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Experience in grass slashing and general property maintenance is essential.
  • An HR license and tractor experience are desirable but not essential.
  • An Agricultural Chemicals Distribution Control (ACDC) ticket is desirable but not essential.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team is crucial.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are necessary for internal and external contacts.
  • The willingness to adhere to health, safety, and operational requirements is paramount.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and motivation are key characteristics.
