Fostering Team Leader Position

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and confident leader to join our Foster and Kinship team and continue to help shape the bright future of our service.
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based in Mount Isa, where you will supervise a team of Case Workers and Support Workers who provide direct support to Foster and Kinship carers in various towns of Northwest QLD.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include monitoring the quality of care being provided to children and young people living in family-based placements, managing the provision of support to foster and kinship carers, and overseeing the initial and ongoing assessment, planning, delivery and review of strategies that address children and young people's care and developmental needs.
Key Responsibilities

- Manage the provision of support to foster and kinship carers.
- Oversee the initial and ongoing assessment, planning, delivery and review of strategies that address children and young people's care and developmental needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or similar discipline.
- Demonstrated relevant experience including in a leadership position.
- Demonstrated capacity to work sensitively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families, and communities.
- Demonstrated understanding of child protection legislation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong time management skills.
