Middle Leader

Good Shepherd Catholic College, Mount Isa is seeking an experienced and dedicated Middle Leader - Curriculum Leader - Science. This position is a Full Time, Permanent teaching role with a 3 year fixed term appointment to the Middle Leader position and commences in January 2025. While this role will see you working in a Middle Leader capacity, the position will also include a component of classroom teaching as part of your duties.
Key Responsibilities
The Middle Leader - Curriculum Leader - Science supports the mission of Good Shepherd Catholic College, Mount Isa through leadership of the learning and teaching program. The Leader will ensure that appropriate pedagogies are developed and implemented at all levels and will ensure quality of student learning and the effectiveness of teacher practice through appropriate supervision. The Leader will utilise thorough analysis of current data to inform decisions and develop appropriate partnerships within and outside of the college, along with prudently administering available resources.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have knowledge of and commitment to the Catholic ethos and mission of the school. You will also need to be able to work as a member of a committed team of professional teachers, dedicated to providing quality teaching and learning in partnership with the parent community. Additionally, you will need to have an understanding of contemporary pedagogy and the ability to differentiate, and provide for, a diverse range of abilities. You will also need to have an ability to collaborate and work positively as a part of a professional learning community, and a willingness to change and develop instructional strategies to increase student growth and achievement.
