Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to develop and implement advanced flood models, including hydrology and hydraulics.

  • Develop and implement flood models for all phases of projects;

  • Work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects for clients in the surface water management sector;

  • Contribute to the technical development of the team, including the identification of opportunities and enhancements to efficiency, reliability, and capacity;

  • Manage or contribute to multidisciplinary projects, maintaining strong client relationships and coordinating with stakeholders to deliver project outcomes;

  • Contribute to business development and writing proposals to secure new projects.

About You

  • Bachelor of Civil or Environmental Engineering or equivalent qualification;

  • Ideal 5+ years of experience in a similar role within Australia, preferably in a consulting environment;

  • Strong skills in flood modelling and mapping, ideally with proficiency in hydraulic packages (TUFLOW, HECRAS) and hydrologic software (RORB);

  • Well-developed skills with GIS packages (QGIS, Arc) and Microsoft office products;

  • Strong client relationship skills and project management skills;

  • A well-developed understanding of relevant state and federal legislation and guidelines, including Australian Rainfall and Runoff.
