Advanced Numerical Modeller

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Fellow to contribute to the development of novel nonlinear, multiphysics, and multiscale PDE systems modeling the electromechanics of the heart and torso.
This project is supported by government funding and aims to deliver predictive tools for patient-specific simulations of cardiac function.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in numerical approximation of PDEs using finite element methods and efficient implementation of these algorithms.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing advanced numerical discretisations for multiphysics PDEs;
- Collaborating closely under the guidance of experienced researchers;
- Disseminating results through research articles and technical presentations.
Prior experience in finite element analysis and computational models for biomedical applications is desirable but not required. A strong educational background or substantial relevant skills are essential for this role.
The successful applicant will hold a PhD in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related field and have a strong track record of publication in top-tier journals.
