About the Role\

We are seeking a Census Engagement Manager to manage engagement activities across Australia with relevant communities and organisations.

Key Responsibilities\
  • \\
  • Manage engagement activities in regional areas of Australia\\
  • Foster positive relationships with community stakeholders\\
  • Document key events and cultural considerations\\
  • Assist in implementing Census activities to support participation, including for people experiencing homelessness\\
  • Recruit and provide training to a team of field and engagement staff\\
  • Conduct field work with safety and care\\
  • Provide assistance in gathering support from community organisations and service providers\\
  • Supervise and assist field and engagement staff as needed\\

Requirements\

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • \\
  • Experience in planning, management, and undertaking engagement activities for the homelessness sector\\
  • Demonstrated experience working within or a strong understanding of the homelessness sector\\
  • Strong connections across the homelessness sector and ability to leverage those relationships\\
  • Ability to connect and engage with a range of service providers\\
  • Ability to present information to groups through public speaking engagement\\
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions with limited guidance\\
  • Sound local area knowledge and cultural capability\\
