Community Support Specialist

">Job Description:

The Mandurah Assertive Outreach Service offers a vital outreach program to engage highly vulnerable individuals experiencing homelessness. Our team provides support interventions tailored to address complex needs, including mental health, housing, and social well-being.

Main Responsibilities include providing place-based assertive outreach, identifying and engaging target groups within Housing First frameworks, and delivering activity-based work and daily living skills support.

">Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant qualification (Certificate III/IV) or degree
  • Experience working with individuals facing chaotic life circumstances, such as homelessness, AOD use, family and domestic violence, and mental health issues
  • Ability to engage with individuals at different levels of need and build professional relationships
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Current driver's license and Working with Children Check
