System Administrator Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced System Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT, with a minimum of 5 years experience in Windows Server Administration.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering infrastructure, security and support for clinical system users across all cancer centres, including Australia, New Zealand, South-East Asia and Europe.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and self-driven individual who is passionate about working in a dynamic and autonomous work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all clinical systems are operational within Service Level Agreements (SLA's) and all maintenance, upgrades and patches are fully tested with minimum disruption before being delivered to the business
  • Complete maintenance on programs including backup and recovery capability and create and test plans for business continuity
  • Work closely with the clinical systems team to develop increased knowledge of systems, common support requirements and ensure the reliability of the clinical systems environment
  • Engage with the wider IT team, particularly service desk to ensure customer service effectiveness
  • Collaborate with the physics team for upgrades, new equipment and new technology to meet the organisation's clinical needs
  • Support the deployment of new software and infrastructure
  • Enable technology upgrades and implementations to assist project activities
  • Provide input to strategic decisions and become involved in international projects

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of technical issue resolution workflows and systems
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Tertiary qualifications in IT or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Windows Server Administration
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a geographically separated team
