Our Claims Team
">We are seeking an experienced Claims Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology and be able to assess aspects of liability and recovery.
">About the Role">- Proactively manage complex claims, providing early, timely and personal service to workers, employers and stakeholders.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders regularly to progress strategies and actions.
- Assess liability and recovery in accordance with relevant legislation and policies.
- Manage the whole person impairment process and conduct health promotion activities to enhance the injured worker's wellbeing.
- Ensure accurate and professional updating of claims files.
Your Skills and Qualifications
">- A basic understanding of medical terminology demonstrated through studies or work experience.
- High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Sound negotiation and influencing skills, with empathy and understanding for others.
- The ability to effectively listen and understand the needs of customers.
- Tertiary studies in Allied Health (Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Rehabilitation, Nursing, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counselling or Exercise Science) would be advantageous.
