State-Wide Telecommunications Infrastructure Installation Specialist

The Telecommunications Infrastructure Specialist will be responsible for the maintenance of telecommunications infrastructure statewide. This role involves installation, commissioning and testing of Nokia and/or Ericsson equipment, as well as software installation, testing and commissioning of sites.
- Install and maintain WCDMA/LTE/4G/5G/NBN technologies.
- Install radio base stations, terminating Hybriflex Cables and Coaxial feeder cables/tails, earthing, cable trays, diplexers, combiners.
- Upgrade or install DC power rack systems including rectifiers, batteries and load testing.
- Configure and capture status for Hand Over Packs (HOP's).
- Commission and integrate RBS into network.
- Conduct PIM, VSWR and sweep and fibre testing.
- Troubleshoot, replace defective equipment and monitor site performance.
- Install and commission microwave indoor and outdoor units.
• Maintain strong working relationships with team members and business staff.
• Build and maintain collaborative business relationships with client support personnel.
Requirements:- Hold a tertiary qualification in Telecommunications or Engineering science, electronics or microprocessors.
- Equivalent experience as a telecommunications technician if no qualification is held.
- Current Working at Heights / Tower Rescue Ticket; First Aid and CPR.
- Construction White Card.
- Full Manual Driver's Licence.
- Radhaz RF EME Awareness, Telstra, NBN, Vodafone, Optus 3G/4G experience highly regarded.
- Ability to work away from home when required.
