Electrical Installation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Installation Specialist to join our team. As an Electrical Installation Specialist, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining telecommunications electrical equipment.

The successful candidate will have experience in electrical engineering, with a strong understanding of telecommunications systems. You will be required to work independently, with minimal supervision, and possess excellent problem-solving skills.

The role involves examining drawings, specifications, and work sites to identify electrical equipment placement and connections. You will also install, test, and maintain telecommunications electrical equipment, as well as commission and troubleshoot microwave radio equipment.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong technical background in electrical engineering, with a focus on telecommunications. A bachelor's degree or diploma in engineering is essential, and at least 2 years of experience in electrical engineering is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine drawings, specifications, and work sites to identify electrical equipment placement and connections.
  • Install, test, and maintain telecommunications electrical equipment.
  • Commission and troubleshoot microwave radio equipment.
  • Integrate Telecommunication equipment.
  • Use instruments like ohmmeters, voltmeters, ammeters, and transmission measuring devices to identify faults.
  • Adjust, replace, and repair faulty items, and test equipment using electronic instruments.
  • Conduct safety and quality inspections and Non-Conformance Reporting.
  • Maintain high-quality workmanship while adhering to company standards.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor degree or Diploma in engineering.
  • At least 2 years working experience in Electrical Engineering (preferably in a major telecommunication network).
  • Construction Card (White Card) required.
  • Can do attitude.
  • Drivers Licence.
  • Police check: Must be clear with no convictions.
  • Willingness to get Flu and Covid Vaccinations.
  • Willingness to work on remote areas at times.
