Telecommunications Cable Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Cable Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining telecommunications cables and infrastructure.

  • You will work on various projects, including installing optical fibre and copper cables, digging trenches and holes, and laying new pipe.
  • You will also be responsible for rod and rope duct using cobra and white rods, hauling cables, and installing multi-port fibre connections in pits.
  • Additionally, you will install, maintain, and repair conduits and underground cables, complete network performance testing, and install equipment and end-user devices.

  • Expert technical knowledge of telecommunications networks and work practices.
  • Able to resolve operational issues and solve technical problems with autonomy and independent judgement.
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Requirements:
  • Relevant technical qualifications, such as NBN Co. Enable and Construction White Card.
  • Current driver's Licence.
  • ACMA Open Cabler's Licence or equivalent experience.
  • Certificate III in Telecommunications or equivalent relevant experience.
