The Role

The Head of Commercial will develop and execute a cohesive sales and marketing strategy that enhances profitability, drives growth across various channels, and fosters a collaborative team culture. Key responsibilities include:

  • Optimising market position in key categories and expanding product ranges by adapting category and channel offerings.
  • Identifying new opportunities, improving margins, and strengthening the team following recent changes.
  • Developing and executing sales and marketing strategies that drive revenue and margin growth.
  • Building and maintaining robust customer relationships.
  • Using data analytics to drive insights, product innovation, and market strategy.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be a commercially savvy leader with a proven track record in significantly growing market share and entering new categories. Key qualifications include:

  • Extensive senior-level experience in sales & category management within progressive retail & pharmacy channel FMCG organisations.
  • A strong customer-centric approach with a focus on building and maintaining robust customer relationships.
  • Established skillset in use of data analytics to drive insights, product innovation, and market strategy.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies and tactics to achieve business objectives.
  • Strong experience in leading and managing teams, providing direction and motivating team members to achieve high performance.
