About This Role

This key role within the Safety Team provides general safety advice and support to the delivery team, working closely with traffic control organizations to manage traffic and pedestrian flow.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Monitor compliance with safety systems and procedures, particularly traffic management, and provide operational support to the project management team.
  2. Develop and implement project-specific traffic management strategies.
  3. Administer safety and traffic programs for project employees.
  4. Evaluate Traffic Management Plans & TGSs against Queensland standards.
  5. Investigate traffic incidents and community concerns related to traffic issues.
  6. Rigorous inspection and monitoring regime to check effectiveness of controls.
  7. Establish positive working relationships with project personnel and raise awareness of traffic and public safety risks.
  8. Assist in developing communications tools and records for safety and traffic meetings.
About You
  • Level 2 TMI qualification or equivalent.
  • Diploma in WHS (Enrolled) or equivalent.
  • Construction safety or equivalent management experience (1+ years).
  • 3 Years traffic management experience.
  • Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative risk assessment.
  • Experience monitoring, reviewing, and reporting on performance, compliance, and defects.
