Quick overview of the role

You will contribute toward the effective operational health, safety, and environmental performance across the organisation. Primarily an in-field focused position, proactively engaging with workers on all HSE-related matters, providing technical advice, and ensuring compliance in line with HSE-related legislation, codes and standards, and management systems relative to the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide training and practical support with HSE-related management systems and proactively consult and implement system improvements.
  2. Lead and record regular safety walks, hazard identification, internal audits, and other HSE-related assurance activities across the organisation.
  3. Participate in incident investigations and ensure quality standards of incident findings and corrective action management
  4. Facilitate department and workgroup risk assessments
  5. Provide mentoring and support to work group HSRs
  6. Coordinate fire safety and emergency management-related activities and compliance across the organisation.
  7. Ensure effective regulatory and statutory reporting requirements are met within timeframes.
  8. Support HSE-related training and coaching activities, including active engagement at group toolbox talks, pre-start meetings, and HSR Committee meetings
  9. Facilitate onboarding and refresher company inductions
  10. Address HSE-related non-conformances raised through external audits
  11. Hold a Current C Class Driver's license or above
  12. Have Incident investigation training/experience (i.e., 5-Why, ICAM methodology)
  13. Have appropriate experience or qualifications relevant to the given role
  14. Be highly organised with time management skills
  15. Ensure excellent attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  16. Be a team player with a positive nature and can-do attitude
  17. Have Excellent interpersonal skills
  18. Hold a Certificate IV in WHS or similar
  19. Have Sound knowledge of production planning
