The Parklife Metro Consortium is working on a groundbreaking metro rail infrastructure project that will provide a significant economic stimulus for the region. As a Construction Sustainability Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in achieving sustainable outcomes by understanding sustainability obligations and implementing initiatives to meet our objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advice on sustainability requirements to design, construction, commercial, operational, and other project teams.
- Track and monitor progress of sustainability rating submissions.
- Compile sustainability rating submissions.
- Monitor sustainability reporting requirements and report on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to stakeholders.
- Support development and management of environmental & sustainability management systems.
- Manage environment & sustainability consultants.
- Conduct environmental & sustainability field monitoring and inspections.
- Identify and initiate local sustainability improvement initiatives.
- Communicate improvements to management processes.
- Report on sustainability performance and compliance.
- Support project induction and environmental management training.
- Promote a positive environmental & sustainability culture.
- Adhere to project policies, procedures, and safety legislation.
- Stay current with relevant policies, legislation, standards, and innovations.
Essential Qualifications:
- Degree in sustainability, engineering, environmental engineering, or equivalent.
- Experience working on construction sites.
- Experience delivering sustainability management plans and targets.
- Minimum of 3 years in a similar role within construction.
- ISAP and/or GSAP certification; experience with Infrastructure Sustainability (IS) and Green Star Ratings preferred.
Competitive Remuneration Package: A salary range of $75 K - $85 K/year, negotiable based on experience.
