Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Category Buyer to join our Womenswear team. As a key member of our Commercial team, you will play a crucial role in driving sales growth and maximizing profit within your category.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Category Buyer: Assist in the development and implementation of category strategies, including budget planning and sales forecasting.
  • Procurement and Inventory Management: Collaborate with the Category Buyer to procure products, manage inventory levels, and ensure adequate stock levels.
  • Vendor Management: Work with vendors to resolve issues, negotiate favorable terms, and foster partnerships.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze sales data, interpret trends, and provide insights to inform business decisions.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including Marketing, Vendor Management, Operations, and Finance.
  • Adaptability and Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, complete training as required, and adapt to changes in the market and industry.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Assistant Buyer in a high-volume business.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in Jira, Excel, BI, BC, and API integrations.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
