Role Overview

The Iconic is seeking a skilled High Volume Beauty and Home Category Procurement Specialist to join our commercial team. This role is responsible for assisting in the purchasing and procurement of goods required by the business, while supporting the department strategy, vision, and budget planning.

About the Role
  • You will report to the Senior Category Buyer and work collaboratively with the Planning team to drive sales, maximise profit, and manage inventory levels.
  • Conduct market research and stay up-to-date with the latest trends and products in the e-commerce industry to make informed recommendations on product and/or brand selection.
  • You will monitor vendor performance, evaluate their effectiveness, and assist in the selection and deactivation process.
  • Negotiate favourable terms and conditions for contracts with vendors, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as industry regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of vendor details, including brand plans, SKU lists, and department brand profile matrix.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Drive sales growth within your category in alignment with The Iconic's commercial strategy.
  2. Analyse data, interpret trends, and propose informed decisions based on data.
  3. Identify cost savings opportunities and propose effective procurement and platform strategies.
  4. BUILD strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to achieve mutual goals and foster long-term partnerships.
  5. Liaise with marketing to identify GTM and promotional opportunities for your category to drive sales.
About You
  • You have previous experience as a Junior Buyer or Buyer working in high-volume businesses.
  • Skilled in Excel reporting (including pivot tables and v-look-ups).
  • Strong communication skills with a great eye for detail.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • A strong team player who embodies The Iconic Principles.

Estimated Salary

$80,000 - $100,000 per annum, depending on experience.
