Job Description

The Field Technician role includes:

  • Drilling and logging boreholes using mechanical augers and hand augers;
  • Operating ute-mounted drilling rigs and percussion tube samplers;
  • Taking soil samples and logging in accordance with AS1726-2017;
  • Producing site reports and feature surveys;
  • Assisting with drafting, engineering, and NATA-accredited lab teams;
  • Communicating with staff and clients internally.
Requirements

To be eligible for this role, you will need:

  • 1-2 years' experience in a similar field or some site experience (desirable but not essential);
  • A full driver's license;
  • 3.5t towing experience (desirable but not essential);
  • Experience or exposure to operating machinery, preferably ute-mounted drilling rigs;
  • Experience or interest in survey equipment, preferably Leica or similar (desirable but not essential);
  • The ability to work autonomously;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite programs;
  • An Industry White Card;
  • A willingness to work outdoors;
  • Mechanical aptitude.

  • A salary of approximately $70,000 - $80,000 per annum, based on location and experience;
