National Sales Director

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager to join our team at Beacon Lighting Group. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for delivering sales and profit results through sales for the Roadway business of both fixtures and lighting control systems.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the market and opportunities, as well as the ability to establish and maintain sound business relationships with clients. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing proposals and agreements that meet customer and business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish a network of staff/agents/distributors to support sales growth profitably in all Australian States and Territories
- Ensure customers receive high levels of service through close and timely management of projects
- Establish and maintain a regular call cycle that ensures key clients are regularly serviced and called upon
- Prepare proposal and tender documents and work with partner organisations on joint tenders
- Prioritise the follow up of quotations and designs to ensure the maximum return
- Provide regular feedback on market needs
- Ensure business administration is completed as required, including all sales administration such as preparing quotes, reports, call lists, orders and maintaining customer records in the CRM
About You
To be considered for this role, you will have at least 2 years of experience in a field sales role with experience in lighting, preferably street lighting and lighting controls. Established relationships in lighting channels would be viewed favourably. Other important skills and attributes include:
- Proven track record in building strong client relationships
- A results-oriented focus with a strong drive for success
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Business acumen and the ability to negotiate effectively
- Ability to work autonomously
- A current driver's license is essential for the role, along with the use of a car
