Community Care Specialist
This role involves providing person-centred care and support to individuals with disabilities, aged care, and community needs.
As a Community Support Worker, you will be responsible for assisting clients with daily living and lifestyle requirements, including personal care, domestic assistance, social support, and transportation.
- Personal care: showering, dressing, grooming, and medication assistance
- Domestic assistance: light household cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
- Social support/transportation: social activities, shopping/groceries, travelling to medical appointments
- Supporting customers in the use of aids and personal equipment
- Monitoring the well-being of customers and reporting on their progress
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide domestic assistance with light household cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
- Transport clients to medical appointments and social activities
- Monitor customer well-being and report on progress
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn new technology
