Job Summary:

This role requires a highly skilled and experienced EAL/D Teacher to join our Learning K-12 Team. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of EAL/D pedagogical practices and the ability to support EAL/D students within a Primary School setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the School Leadership Team and CEDoW EAL/D Officers to implement the EAL/D Management Plan.
  • Design and facilitate professional learning opportunities to build teacher capacity.
  • Coordinate, facilitate, and respond to the collection of student work samples and assessment data.
  • Support EAL/D students' learning needs through collaborative planning, co-teaching, and student learning plans.
Essential Selection Criteria:
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School.
  • Apply expert knowledge of EAL/D pedagogical practices and student-centred approaches.
  • Identify EAL/D students' needs and plan for appropriate student support.
  • Facilitate the analysis of student work samples using the ACARA EAL/D Learning Progressions.
  • Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • University TESOL training or a willingness to undertake such training.
  • Appropriate qualifications for teaching Primary K-6.
  • Accredited Level B to teach Religious Education.
  • NESA accreditation to teach in NSW.
Working with Children Clearance:

A Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to employment with CEDoW.
