Job Title: Research Project Administrator This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Research Project Administrator. As a key member of our research management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and successful implementation of research projects across the university. The position involves administering and overseeing post-award grant activities in alignment with institutional policies, contract terms, and funding regulations. This includes monitoring budgets and expenditures to ensure accurate financial reporting and fund usage. You will prepare and review financial and progress reports, ensuring timely submission to funding agencies. Additionally, you will support researchers and stakeholders across all stages of post-award grant and consultancy management. Maintaining audit readiness and contributing to the overall compliance framework of the research portfolio are also key responsibilities of this role. We are looking for a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and a passion for supporting research excellence. You should thrive in collaborative environments and be able to confidently navigate complex compliance and financial requirements. The ideal candidate will possess a tertiary qualification in a relevant area or demonstrated equivalent combination of relevant experience in a complex organisation and education/training. Solid understanding of research reporting requirements and demonstrated ability to ensure compliance with policies, external funding guidelines, and contractual agreements are essential skills for this role. An understanding of research funding opportunities, schemes, and research funding trends is also desirable. The salary for this position commences at $96,222 per annum, plus 12% superannuation. Key Responsibilities: 
  • Administer and oversee post-award grant activities in alignment with institutional policies, contract terms, and funding regulations.
  • Monitor budgets and expenditures to ensure accurate financial reporting and fund usage.
  • Prepare and review financial and progress reports, ensuring timely submission to funding agencies.
