Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and experienced Service Designer to join our team at Local Peoples. As a Service Designer, you will play a key role in helping our public sector clients improve their services through design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute human-centered design solutions to improve public sector services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver end-to-end customer experience strategies.
  • Conduct customer research, problem solving, journey mapping, ideation, prototyping, and testing solutions.
  • Develop and deliver industry-grade design artefacts, and contribute to report writing for applied research, and publication purposes.
  • Work with UX Researchers to design and deliver design research projects.
  • Facilitate workshops and encourage stakeholders to work together to solve issues and problems.
  • Stay up-to-date with current trends in digital and interaction design.
  • Use design tools such as Figma, Sketch, InVision, Adobe XD, CC, and other design tools.

Requirements

  • Extensive human-centered design experience.
  • Experience with design thinking, systems thinking, and agile methodologies.
  • Experience creating service blueprints, system maps, customer journeys, and supporting the execution of product or service delivery.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively with excellent time management skills.
  • Knowledge of current trends in digital and interaction design.
  • Experience using design tools such as Figma, Sketch, InVision, Adobe XD, CC, and other design tools.
  • Hold a current ASGVA Baseline clearance or be able to obtain one.
  • You must be an Australian Citizen.
