About the Project:
The Suburban Connect consortium, which includes CPB Contractors, ACCIONA, and Ghella, has been appointed by the Victorian Government to execute a significant tunnelling initiative as part of the Suburban Rail Loop (SRL) East project.
This undertaking encompasses the construction of a 16-kilometre segment of the dual tunnels, which includes tunnelling operations between Cheltenham and Glen Waverley, the establishment of 55 safety cross passages, station boxes at Clayton and Monash, and the development of portals that serve as the entrances and exits to the tunnels at the stabling facility.
Role Overview:
As a vital member of the suburban connect consortium, you will foster a culture centered on health and safety excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance safety performance through the implementation of safety programs.
- Identify and manage workplace health and safety (WH&S) risks within the organization.
- Provide expert advice and support to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Ensure that practices align with the highest standards of WH&S.
- Actively engage in various projects, initiatives, and tasks as directed by the Safety Lead.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in WH&S.
- Possession of a Diploma is preferred but not essential.
- Demonstrated flexibility in approach.
- Background in construction is advantageous.
