Theatre Orderly Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our theatre team as a Theatre Orderly. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating theatres and providing exceptional patient care.

Job Description

The primary responsibility of this role is to assist and support clinical staff during procedures, preparing and setting up theatres for surgical cases, including checking equipment. You will also be responsible for safely transporting patients between wards and departments, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring waste removal in line with hospital protocols.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require a Certificate III in Health Services (or equivalent qualification). Previous experience in an operating theatre environment is highly desirable. Strong communication skills, physical capacity to undertake the demands of the role, flexibility to work across a 7-day rotating roster, and a proactive, reliable, and team-focused attitude are essential.
