About the Role
We're looking for Experienced Disability Support Workers to join our passionate team in the Rockhampton/Gracemere/Yeppoon/Emu Park Region. In this role, you will be part of a respected and trusted team, dedicated to delivering high-quality support to individuals with diverse needs. Your responsibilities will include a range of services aimed at improving the daily lives of our clients and helping them achieve their NDIS goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Personal Care & In-Home Support: Provide compassionate care that meets the individual needs of each client.
Medication Assistance: Administer prescribed medications with attention to detail and safety.
Community Access & Appointments: Facilitate clients' access to the community, including transport to appointments.
Domestic Support: Assist with light cleaning, pet care, and other household tasks to ensure a clean and comfortable environment.
Equipment Use: Operate hoisting equipment as needed to ensure clients' safety and comfort.
NDIS Goal Support: Help clients work towards their NDIS goals, fostering independence and growth.
Respite Care: Engage in activities that offer clients a positive respite experience, providing valuable downtime for family carers.
What We're Looking For:
Essential Requirements:
At least 12 months of experience in disability support or a similar role.
Blue Card/Yellow Card and First Aid Certificate.
Completion of the NDIS Orientation Module.
A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
Cert III in Individual Support (or enrolled to complete).
A current Police Background Check.
