This role is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join our valued host employer as a Sports Turf Management Apprentice.

The apprenticeship is full-time, requiring you to work Monday-Friday, 38 hours a week, with a start time of 7am and a finish time of 4pm.

We offer comprehensive support and mentoring to the successful apprentice, along with on-the-job training for three years.

To be successful, you must have:

  • A genuine interest in turf management
  • Be hardworking and reliable
  • Hold a driver's licence and own transport
  • Be willing to commit to a four-year apprenticeship
  • Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
  • Be willing to attend accredited RTO/TAFE training
  • Be willing to undergo a hearing test

Your responsibilities as a Sports Turf Management Apprentice will include:

  • Producing and maintaining sporting grounds
  • Repairing damage, restoring the field, regulating pest control, and creating a safe space for athletes to play
  • Mowing, aerating, top dressing, irrigating, and fertilising the turf
  • Creating a schedule for field use
  • Operating machinery and equipment
