About the Role

This is a key leadership position as part of the Executive team. The successful candidate will work closely with the CEO and the Executive Team, focusing on Engagement & Delivery and Evidence and Impact Team functions nationally.

We are seeking an experienced senior manager with high emotional intelligence and demonstrated capability to motivate and guide a highly capable team. The ideal person will have proven leadership experience in an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander context, either in the not-for-profit arena, government, or corporate organisations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Representing the organisation in forums and public events in conjunction with the CEO
  • Establishing, leading and maintaining strong senior stakeholder relationships, including with leaders in local government and industry

The ideal candidate will lead by example, engaging in robust discussions to advocate for trauma-aware healing-informed legislation, policies, programs and workforce sector and system settings. They will have a demonstrated strong understanding and commitment to advancing national self-determined agendas of First Nations peoples.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Demonstrated professional experience in corporate and community sectors
  • Business development experience with ability to identify and secure streams of revenue and funding
