
Insurance Investigation Manager

The Investigations Coordinator role involves managing and coordinating investigations into claims made to external firms. This position requires effective coordination, record-keeping, and communication skills to ensure thorough investigations are conducted in a timely and compliant manner.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain accurate and detailed records of investigations, including relevant documents, interviews, and evidence collected.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on findings and results.
- Manage a portfolio of claims effectively and collaborate with team members as needed due to workload demands.
- Engage with external investigation services to provide instructions and clarify information requirements during the investigation process.
- Develop an Investigation Plan (as required) and seek approval from a designated team leader.
- Conduct objective, fair, and timely investigations adhering to high standards of regulatory compliance.
- Review complex or suspicious cases and prepare investigation plans to identify missing or inconsistent data, including investigating complex and suspicious claims or insurance-related activities.
- Make informed decisions on claim acceptance or rejection based on solid evidence and communicate outcomes to customers.
- Support potentially fraudulent claims escalated to customer dispute resolutions prior to and post submission to an Ombudsman service.
- Conduct interviews with policyholders and other relevant stakeholders, recording statements as necessary and maintaining accurate records of all interactions.
- Experience in Insurance Claims is highly desirable.
- Excellent computer and administration skills are essential.
- A working knowledge of insurance legislation and processes is mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication, are required to build client rapport, negotiate, and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, along with time management abilities, are crucial for success in this role.
- The ability to work autonomously and demonstrate professional resilience is also essential.
- Previous experience conducting investigation interviews is highly regarded.
- Ability to pass a national police check.
