Job Description

As an Asset Engineer at Cimic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our reputation as a leading provider of contract mining services. You will provide engineering support and technical expertise to both the asset management team and operational sites, ensuring alignment with all internal and external regulations and standards. Your focus will be on enhancing mining equipment, fixed assets, and infrastructure to maintain Cimic's competitive edge in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide engineering and technical advice to operational sites.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify technical improvements to Cimic's asset strategies.
  • Assist with the development of engineering statutory requirements and regulated inspections.
  • Conduct technical reviews and risk assessments on engineering-related designs and specifications.
  • Assist in successfully implementing improvement projects and ensure replication across operations.
  • Proactively conduct audits to identify improvement opportunities and ensure statutory compliance.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree in a relevant discipline or Associate Degree in Engineering with relevant trade qualification.
  • Technical knowledge of mining assets, particularly heavy mobile equipment.
  • Understanding of legislative requirements and international standards in a mining environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
  • Contract management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and think laterally to solve operational issues.
