About the Role

We're seeking a skilled Digital Asset Accounting Specialist to join our team in Australia. As a key member of our Finance department, you'll be responsible for processing fixed and intangible asset additions, disposals, and transfers into our Australian fixed asset register on a timely basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process fixed and intangible asset additions, disposals, and transfers into the fixed asset register on a timely basis.
  • Support the team with period-end close procedures, journal entries, and reporting for fixed and intangible assets, prepayments, and accruals.
  • Provide invoice coding and checking support for capital and maintenance purchases.
  • Perform period-end balance sheet reconciliations, including Construction in Progress (CIP) accounts, and investigate and resolve queries.
  • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of fixed and intangible asset registers.
  • Collaborate with departments outside of finance, such as construction, maintenance, and operational stakeholders, to ensure timely and accurate asset processing.
  • Knowledge of accounting and tax depreciation rates is essential.
  • Work closely with the Asset Accountant to prepare and collate audit documentation, and assist with resolving audit queries.
  • Contribute to driving system and process improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain up-to-date process documentation.
  • Support the broader Finance Team with other period-end processes as required.
About You

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting and Finance, Commerce, or similar.
  • Previous experience working within an Accounting/Fixed Assets environment.
  • Demonstrated commercial experience (3+ years).
  • Advanced computer and MS skills, specifically within Excel.
  • Previous experience with JD Edwards is desirable but not essential.
