As a Catering Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that residents receive high-quality dining experiences. You will work collaboratively with our team to prepare and serve meals, maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen and dining area, and interact with residents in a friendly and courteous manner during mealtimes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meal Preparation: Assist in the preparation of meals, including chopping vegetables, assembling salads, portioning food, and preparing simple dishes under the supervision of the Cook or Head Chef.
  • Serving Meals: Help serve meals to residents during mealtimes, ensuring each resident receives the appropriate meal according to their dietary requirements.
  • Dining Room Setup: Set up the dining areas before mealtimes, ensuring tables are clean and all necessary items like cutlery, plates, and glasses are in place.
  • Dishwashing and Cleaning: Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, and maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen and dining area.
  • Resident Interaction: Interact with residents in a friendly and courteous manner during mealtimes, addressing their needs and requests as appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Food Handlers Certificate
  • Adaptable, passionate, and willingness to learn

  • Friendly and effective communication abilities
