Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Nourishing Early Childhood Culinary Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our childcare service, you will play a vital role in designing and preparing healthy, child-friendly meals that meet dietary requirements and inspire positive eating habits.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Create fresh, nutritious meal plans for up to 120 children daily, taking into account various dietary needs, allergies, and cultural preferences.
  2. Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen organisation, adhering to strict guidelines and protocols.
  3. Collaborate with educators to promote healthy eating practices and nutrition education, ensuring a holistic approach to child development.
  4. Develop positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, fostering a supportive team environment.
  5. Effectively manage kitchen resources, including ordering, stocking, and rotating inventory to ensure efficient operations.
Key Qualifications
  1. Proven experience as a chef or cook, preferably in early childhood, school, or similar settings.
  2. Certificate in Food Handling/Safety (mandatory) and strong knowledge of nutrition principles applicable to young children.
  3. Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  4. A positive, team-focused attitude and commitment to delivering exceptional care and services.
