About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Community Liaison Specialist to join our team at Aurizon. As a key member of our community engagement team, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining constructive relationships with landowners, stakeholders, and community groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with landowners, including access negotiations and compensation discussions.
  • Provide internal advice on external stakeholder considerations and restraints for project and operational planning.
  • Work with the community engagement function to develop and implement community engagement strategies and tactics.
  • Establish contact with landowners to negotiate access for required rail works.
  • Notify and liaise with neighboring properties to advise of impacts of scheduled works.
  • Regular travel across Central Queensland Coal Network (CQCN) to engage with stakeholders and community groups.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Communications or a relevant discipline.
  • Extensive experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of building and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience working in partnership with residents, industry groups, supplier chain participants, and community organizations.
  • High-level communication skills, both written and verbal, with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal corporate and external groups, including property, legal, and environment departments.
  • Exceptional negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Willingness to commit to regular travel across Central Queensland Coal Network (CQCN).
