Cafe Management Role

The successful Cafe Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a busy cafe to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organise and manage the daily activities of the cafe to meet customer expectations, promote business growth, and maintain high standards of quality.
  • Collaborate with staff to plan seasonal menu offerings that reflect customer preferences, enhance the overall dining experience, and increase sales.
  • Manage financial transactions, monitor budgets, and maintain accurate stock records to optimise resources and achieve business objectives.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment by adhering to health and safety standards, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring high levels of employee engagement.
  • Recruit, train, and develop skilled cafe staff to uphold high service standards, promote teamwork, and drive business success.
  • Address customer inquiries and feedback promptly to resolve issues efficiently, build customer loyalty, and foster positive word-of-mouth referrals.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a managerial role within the coffee or cafe industry.
  • At least one year of experience as a full-time barista in the coffee service industry, with knowledge of latte art and serving a variety of coffee styles.
  • Strong knowledge of different coffee brewing methods, proficiency with coffee machines, and expertise with coffee grinders.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills to motivate and engage employees, drive business growth, and achieve operational efficiency.
  • Proficiency in English, with an IELTS score of at least 6.5 overall preferred.
