Occupational Rehabilitation Role

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team at IPAR. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing occupational rehabilitation services to clients with a range of conditions, both physical and psychological.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Case management and caseloads are manageable, with the support of Rehabilitation Assistants to alleviate administrative tasks;
  • Applying clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes;
  • Working with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs;
  • Collaborating with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals;
  • Working across various schemes such as workers compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran's Affairs, and employer-funded injury prevention programs;
  • Assisting those with an injury or health condition to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes;
  • Completing assessments using clinical skills, including initial, workplace and vocational assessments to review diagnosis, support treatment plans, address psychosocial barriers to employment and identify suitable employment opportunities for workers who have sustained workplace injuries or injuries sustained from motor vehicle accidents.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy registration with AHPRA;
  • Previous experience working in Occupational Rehabilitation industry would be highly regarded;
  • Fabulous communication skills - getting to know clients and stakeholders;
  • Compassion and kindness, empathy;
  • Well-developed time management skills;
  • A current NSW Driver's License and access to own car with comprehensive insurance.
