Healthcare Administration Coordinator

This is an opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of patients and their families by joining our dynamic team at Icon's Cancer Care and Treatment Centre in Midland. As a Healthcare Administration Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our Oncology and Haematology treatment departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcoming patients, collecting and entering personal details
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Triaging referrals to Radiation & Medical Oncologists
  • Answering telephone calls and responding to enquiries
  • Entering and processing patient billing and balancing daily banking
  • Maintaining and managing patient information
  • Possessing basic knowledge of medical terminology
  • Possessing basic knowledge of Medicare and DVA claims
  • Supporting our WHS Officers and committees to effectively carry out their responsibilities
  • Modelling and promoting our vision and values

About the Role:

This full-time position provides administration, secretarial and reception support for our Oncology and Haematology treatment departments. You will work Monday to Friday shifts during our standard daytime business hours and report to our Administration Manager.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

We are looking for an individual with relevant experience in the healthcare industry and outstanding customer service skills. The ideal candidate will possess a broad understanding of medical reception and radiation oncology or hospital inpatient services, including health insurance funding. They must also have the ability to work autonomously and effectively in a team environment, plan, coordinate and organise workloads to achieve quality patient service outcomes in a timely manner.
