Job Overview:

The Assistant Night Manager role plays a pivotal part in the hotel's operational success. During night shifts, this position is responsible for overseeing and managing all hotel activities to ensure guest safety, security, and the timely completion of audit functions.

Daily Responsibilities:
  • Lead all hotel operations overnight, encompassing front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance tasks.
  • Develop and train colleagues in quality and service standards, equipping them with necessary tools and equipment.
  • Mentor managers and frontline staff, fostering growth and development.
  • Provide prompt, professional service, personal recognition, and an exceptional front-and-back-of-house experience for guests throughout their stay.
  • Support front office staff in delivering swift service, professional attention, and personalized recognition to guests.
  • In emergency situations, serve as the primary responder, responding promptly and calmly.
  • Ensure secure handling of credit and financial transactions, maintaining cashiers' float, and preparing accurate daily reports.
  • Oversee night audit functions and prepare daily financial reports in collaboration with the finance team.
  • Adhere to local regulations, brand standards, and policies, demonstrating One Step Ahead Service Behaviours: Create confidence, Encourage success, and Make it happen.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher education qualification in Hotel Administration, Business Administration, or equivalent.
  • A minimum of four years of guest service/hotel experience, including two years in a supervisory or assistant manager capacity, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in the local language is required.
  • Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol and First Aid Certificate are mandatory.
