Job Opportunity: Health and Safety Specialist

The primary goal of the role is to foster a culture that prioritizes health and safety, focusing on prevention and proactive measures in a southern Adelaide setting.

About this Role

  1. Provide on-site support by facilitating incident investigations and conducting risk assessments.
  2. Collaborate with operational leaders to proactively manage health and safety risks.
  3. Implement the annual H&S plan and contribute to enhancing safety maturity initiatives.
  4. Deliver comprehensive health and safety training, coaching, and fundamental initiatives.
  5. Offer trusted advice aligned with industry best practices.
  6. Coordinate site-based health and wellbeing programs.
  7. Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Relevant health and safety qualification or extensive experience in a similar field.
  • Experience with incident investigations and risk assessments is highly valued but not essential.
  • Minimum Certificate IV in Health and Safety or a related discipline.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong influencing and engagement skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and reporting systems.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Valid Class C Manual Drivers Licence.
