Work Health and Safety Specialist

This critical role provides expert guidance to senior leaders, oversees WHS initiatives, and fosters a proactive safety culture.
The successful candidate will manage risk assessments, lead investigations, and oversee WHS projects that align with legislative requirements and industry best practices.
The Work Health and Safety Specialist will work across multiple sites and teams to embed high-performance WHS practices. They will communicate complex information clearly, manage projects effectively, and lead with integrity.
- Proven leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate and inspire others to achieve shared goals.
- Solid time management and organizational skills to prioritize risk management and meet deadlines efficiently.
- Proven research, analytical skills, and use of technology to support project planning and informed decision making.
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience in managing positive stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, prioritization skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Tertiary qualifications in WHS, risk, and compliance or extensive experience in relevant field.
- A valid NSW driver's license.
- Ability to travel to and work from all Office of Sport sites.
