About the Role

This position plays a pivotal part in Townsville City Council's Infrastructure and Operations division, working collaboratively across the organization to champion the purpose of Growing Townsville and deliver the Corporate Plan in consultation with the Townsville Community.

As a key member of the team, you will be accountable to the General Manager Engineering and Asset Infrastructure Planning and focused on the needs and aspirations of the Townsville community. Key responsibilities include growing and managing customer relationships, developing a culture of customer-centricity, and reshaping how services are delivered to maximize value.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in asset management within local government.
  • Trade qualifications in Engineering and eligibility for membership with the Asset Management Council.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in performing analysis in various information technology systems, including Microsoft Office suite and Business Management Systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in performing asset maintenance and renewal improvement programs.
  • A current Queensland 'C' class driver's license.
