The Coffs Harbour Bypass Project

The Coffs Harbour Bypass is a 14-kilometre stretch of road that will bypass the Coffs Harbour urban area, from England's Road in the South to Sapphire in the North. This is a once-in-a-generation project for the Mid-North Coast community.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Minimizing construction risks by identifying control requirements and applying to the scope of works.
  • Assisting with the procurement of project materials and letting of subcontracts.
  • Overseeing site construction works, ensuring quality progress on a daily basis.
  • Liaising with site supervisors, subcontractors, and suppliers to guarantee compliance with the program.
  • Coordinating interface works with other teams, such as Traffic, Pavements, and structural works, to ensure smooth interfaces.
  • Managing costs associated with the scope of work, including tracking costs accurately and maintaining a cost forecast.
  • Assisting in the preparation of Work Procedures, Inspection & Test Plans, Safe Work Method Statements, Construction Procedures, and Site Access Plans.
  • Overseeing aspects of Safety, Environmental, and Quality across the scope of works.

Required Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Engineering, majoring in Civil and/or Structural. They will also have experience with cost tracking and providing input into work programs and performance of teams and subcontractors. Proven verbal, written, interpersonal communication skills and the ability to develop and maintain diverse stakeholder relationships are essential. A proactive and innovative approach is also required.
